Cervinia is one of the most famous and renowned ski resorts in the Alps: it is located in the north-west of Italy, in Val d ‘Aosta, at the foot of Monte Cervino (4478 m).
The fantastic ski area called Matterhorn Ski Paradise connects the localities Valtournenche (1524 m) and Breuil-Cervinia (2050 m) in Italy, with Zermatt (1608 m) in Switzerland: it has about 360 km of slopes, alternating easy routes with more challenging tracks. It always enjoys excellent snowfall because most of the skilifts are located on the Plateau Rosà glacier. With a cable car you can climb almost to the summit of the Piccolo Cervino (almost 4000 m). The particular characteristic of Cervinia is that you can ski all the year on the glacier of the Plateu Rosà, even in summer.
For snowboarders there is a snowpark in Breuil (called Indianpark) and one in Valtournenche (Wild West Park); you can also practice cross-country skiing surrounded by the splendid mountain range of the Grandes Murailles.
Finally, in summer you can play golf on an 18-hole course (one of the highest in the world!) And go hiking, mountain biking and climbing.
In Cervinia you can choose your accommodation among many hotels, from the simplest to 5-star resorts; in the numerous restaurants you can enjoy local specialties, including polenta valdostana and fonduta.
The easiest way to reach Cervinia is from Turin airport, which is 125 km away. It takes about one hour and a half by car, along the Val d ‘Aosta motorway and the regional road 46 of Valtournenche.
Turin Ski Transfer offers private transfer by car and minivan, both from Turin and Milan (Malpensa, Linate or Orio al Serio). Check the prices on the list or email us to ask for any information.
