Champoluc is located in the Aosta Valley, in North West Italy, at an altitude of 1568 meters.
It is the most important town in a small valley, called Valle d’Ayas, crossed by the Evancon river and dominated by the Monte Rosa massif and its high peaks. The landscape is very varied, with glaciers and rocky walls, but also gentle slopes with meadows and pastures.
At a height of 1975 meters, above Champoluc, is the Crest plateau, which takes its name from the Crest village, reachable by a cable car. Other towns in the Ayas Valley are Antagnod and Ayas.
As for skiing, we have the famous Monterosa Ski area of Frachey and Champoluc. Over 100 km of slopes that connect the Ayas Valley with the Gressoney Valley and the Sesia Valley. A Heliski service can make you try great off-piste itineraries.
In summer, the area is full of hiking trails, and is the starting point for climbing Monte Rosa.
Champoluc is a fabulous location, a small village ideal for those looking for nature, mountains and tranquility.
