La Thuile

La Thuile is located in Val d ‘Aosta, in north-west Italy, in a particular position: we are in fact at the foot of Mont Blanc, at an altitude of 1450 m, along the international road that connects Val d’ Aosta and France through the Piccolo San Bernardo pass (accessible only in summer!).

Someone defines La Thuile as the “wild side” of Mont Blanc: the side on which this town is located is in fact characterized by unspoiled nature, dense forests and high peaks, dominated by Mount Rutor (3486 m) and its imposing glacier visible from the whole valley.

La Thuile is therefore perfect for those who love the “real mountains”, both in summer and in winter.

The Espace San Bernardo ski area connects the resorts of La Thuile and La Rosière in France: 38 ski lifts for a total of about 150 km of slopes, easy and intermediate but also many rather difficult.

There is also a snow park, a boarder cross track, a secure free ride area, an area for heliskiing and two playgrounds for children.

The maximum height that can be reached on skis is 2800 m (Monte Valaisan), from here you can enjoy a breathtaking 360 ° view of the Alps.

In summer, needless to say, La Thuile is a paradise for hikers, climbers but also for mountain bikers: the MTB Natural Trail Area offers 220 km of itineraries that can be traveled by bike and reachable with the ski lifts.

The closest airport to La Thuile is Turin, and the most convenient and fastest way to reach this fabulous ski resort is with a private transfer. From Turin it takes about 1 hour and 45 minutes, along the A5 motorway of the Aosta Valley to Morgex, then the state road 26.

Turin Ski Transfers offers travel from both Turin airport and Milan, by van or car. You can check the price on our price list and ask for availability by filling out the form.
